Nicki Plunkett

Dr. Plunkett is a boarded small animal surgical specialist, entrepreneur and practice owner. She is originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After graduating from veterinary school at Kansas State, Dr. Plunkett completed both a rotating internship and a surgical internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Ohio. She completed her surgical residency at Auburn Univeristy and worked as an associate surgeon at Veterinary Surgery Center in Oklahoma City for several years. She also served as a locum surgeon in Kansas, Virginia, and Kentucky before moving back to Alabama and establishing Alabama Veterinary Surgical Services. In 2017, Dr. Plunkett teamed up with her colleague Dr. Harriman to open Huntsville Veterinary Specialists and Emergency. Now the practice has two full time surgeons, a neurologist, provides ER services, and hosts travelling specialists including a dermatologist.
