Dr. Lauren S. Grider has over 25 years of experience in the veterinary field, and has special interests in internal medicine, feline medicine, dentistry, and emergency medicine. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She worked as an Associate Veterinarian in small animal exclusive general practice for 11 years before opening her own veterinary relief business in 2019. As a relief veterinarian, she provides general practice and emergency coverage on a PRN basis. Dr. Grider is currently an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, where she works closely with veterinary students in their clinical year of training.
In 2023, Dr. Grider graduated with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor, Associate Licensed Counselor (Alabama), and Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional. She is passionate about advocating for mental health for healthcare workers and those in the helping professions.
Besides podcasting, her hobbies include competing in powerlifting at the state and national levels, dancing and gardening.
